Daily Survey Announcement

Ok, heres the deal guys. I just got off the phone with Greenfield. Tricia is unavailable right now, so I will tell you about the conversation. It seems that because we send a lot of traffic, our numbers were much larger then other sites, HOWEVER, multiple sites received the same action as we did today. Starting tomorrow, the surveys will be back up. They have their IT people working on how to prevent multiple taking of surveys and using several email addys. I have asked for a complete list of do's and don'ts and they will be sending that to us. In the meantime, there will probably be about 30-40 of our members banned from surveys. Once they fix it on their end that those people can take a survey but not multiple times, they will probably be allowed back on. Though the rules are sketchy right now, here are some to follow until we get them all down pat.

You are allowed one survey per day. SM conditions still apply.

Do not change email addresses for family members. Keep the same email addy even if your DH takes the survey until they can figure out the solution to that.

Do not use a gmail addy with any "." in it, and no numbers after your name which change daily.



Answer all the questions honestly.

I'm feeling a little better about all this now, but, I can tell you. That once the ground rules have been solidly laid, and we get a report on a member who is cheating, they will be banned, not only from Greenfield, but from SR. We won't let some members ruin it for all of us.

On another note. In light of this announcement, we seemed to have generated quite a few cashouts. These cashouts will not be processed for a couple weeks until we see how everything shakes out with Greenfield. Many of the people cashing out seem to have completed more then the usual amount of surveys and their may be some reversals. So please, do not rush to cashout, we aren't going anywhere.\

OK I have got to say this an forgive me if I offend anyone. But I have been sitting here all afternoon, refreshing, reading and feeling sick to my stomach think that I might be part of the problem and how it might have affected the community as a whole.

Then I read the rush on payouts. That really makes me shake my head. That wasn't even thought of on my end or even talked about in general.

I am guilty too By DH and I both use our own email addresses, so it would be 2 for our household. I also changed how much we make in a year because I got our w2s and it was different from what I was using. SORRY!! But other than that, I have not changed anything.

Yes thanks Cindy - it's good to have some clear guidelines and I certainly promise if I get to take surveys again I will strictly abide by the rules.
Sorry for all the hassle/stress this has caused for you all.
Funny abt the cashouts - some worried they would get kicked out and could save their earnings by cashing out?! They might have realized that that would look suspicious & cashouts would be held anyway!!

OTX already has something like this into place, I'm just amazed the GF doesn't either.

I've never done survey's except for on here, but I have done both Daily and SM's, then OTX.

I agree with the OP, cashing out never crossed my mind! Really does make you wonder..

Thanks for laying out some ground rules. Not that we want to create another sticky around here but should we put those rules in a sticky or maybe in an exisiting sticky with an Update in the title?

I feel sick cause it never entered my head that it was against the rules to use different email addresses. I saw only the goal of getting that one a day.

Hopefully with the rules in place I'll know better so I don't get anyone in trouble.

But it never enetered my head to cash out...maybe I'm not as guilty as I thought
