I hate Windows Explorer 8.0

I will not let me clean out my history or cookies.

When I click on the Tools Bar/Internet Options and then go to the area, where you can clean out cookies, history, etc., I click on it and it doesn't do anything. I go to advance and there is nothing there to change. This is why I don't get anything on the weekend, I can't clean anything out.

Does anyone else have this problem.

And I am on a laptop at home, not a PC.

The only thing I know is that it cleans out the passwords, but nothing else.

I was so frustrated, I could not get any kind of survey this weekend, not even an OTX.

I haven't read about anyone on here who has liked IE8.0 and it seems everyone has had crediting issues with it. You might want to do a forum search on it and figure out how to downgrade back to IE7 as that one seems to work best for everyone.

What I do is use cc cleaner, sometimes it does not work to clean, but not to often for me. What I do is when the cc cleaner does not clean IE, I restart my computer then after I turn it on I run the cleaner again and check IE and it works to clean that all out. I think its not the cleaner but IE with the issues. Now FF does not get clean but the cleaner, that is easy to do.Are you using the cleaner? Hopefully this will work for you also. Let us know.

If I knew how to backtrack to 7.0 I would, but I don't have a clue.
And I don't know what a cc cleaner is, where would I find it.

A few people have posted instructions on how to downgrade but I can't remember who. I would just search using the search feature for IE8 or Internet Explorer 8 or something similar until the right threads pop up.

I truly understand your frustration! I hated it as well. I think either April or Shelly helped me uninstall it. So if you haven't found it yet, you can click on my name and scroll through all of my posts and find the one that's related to it. The instructions were very easy to follow. Good luck!

I did and I'm at work and dont' have the original email but I know I posted it twice, once for Lisa and once in another post, so I would just search the forum for IE8.

Go to ccleaner.com and follow to download. Use it to clean your computer, get rid of temporary files, and lots of junk. I use it several times a day. Let me know if you have any issues with getting it.

I have been using IE 8 lately, and have noticed that I am getting credit slightly less for certain offers. But maybe my info is just out there already?

I have been using the cookie cleaner more frequently, it does seem to help, since I have noticed that when I delete history in IE 8 it doesn't get rid of everything completely.
