Not that it is a big deal or anything, but is the SM survey now requiring that you give your full name and address? It is asking that now with the usual demo questions at the beginning.
I think that all Greenfield surveys are now going to start requiring this. They are not saving the information, but they are using a verification system to make sure that people are not cheating.

I haven't seen the y2c asking me for my full name or anything the last few days. not that it would bother me, either, so long as they're not saving it.

Here's what they say:
"A third party, called Verity, will be performing real-time checks to make sure the respondent is who they say they are. If the person is honest, they will be passed into a study and they will be remembered for future participation so he or she will no longer need to enter this information. Please note, we will not market to these respondents in any way and the Verity checks are instant, so this will not create any lag-time in the respondent experience."

It's some kind of online database. It will just verify the info and then they will NOT pass it along. It's only to help combat fraud.

ok, that's clear. not too long ago, I did put my info like that in at the end of a survey....I wonder if it had to do with this?
