Meet Sea Lions in Texas - SeaWorld Sea Lions

Just try not to giggle when you’re in the water with one of our boisterous, animated sea lions. Between those big eyes and perpetual energy, you just can’t help the good time you’ll have alongside these delightful creatures. During your interaction, you’ll get to play the role of an animal ambassador in training, interacting with sea lions in the water.

What to Expect During your In-Water Sea Lion Interaction:

Suit up: Wetsuits and towels are included, all to be returned after your swim. You’ll find a changing room with lockers and showers with soap, shampoo and conditioner.
Hop aboard: After your orientation at Discovery Point, we’ll take you by shuttle to the Sea Lion Shallows for the moment you’ve been waiting for.
Wade in: With the guidance of a trainer, you and a small group of guests will wade into the water to meet, touch, and connect with one of the sea lions in our care.
Return to Discovery Point: After your swim, we’ll bring you back to Discovery Point to change out of your wetsuit and get to see photos from your experience, available for purchase.

Know Before You Go

Due to safety restrictions and pool water depth, all in-water participants must be at least 48" tall without shoes. Participants will be measured for this height requirement at check-in.
Participants must remove all jewelry prior to entering the water.
Guest must be able to stand, transfer themselves over pool walls, and climb stairs without assistance.
Medical casts are not allowed; prosthetics are on a case-by-case basis; hearing aids must be secured and tight-fitting.
Service Animals are allowed in the park, but not in the water or in Discovery Point vehicles. Service Animals must be left with a paid observer and cannot be left unattended.
Friends and family members who wish to stay and watch but are not participants will be able to purchase an observer ticket upon arrival at Discovery Point for $30. Minors cannot be observers without an adult. Observer space is limited and sold first come, first served.”
All guests under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Observer tickets for Interactions can be purchased at check-in with Discovery Point.
Interaction participants are not permitted to take any cameras or electronic devices in the water with them, for the safety of our animals. Observers are permitted to bring one (1) camera or device to take pictures and videos of your program.
Check-in will begin at Discovery Point 15 minutes prior to the reservation time.
Reservation Confirmation is only valid for the date of your reservation.
There are limited spots available and we cannot guarantee there will be room to add extra participants.
