BeenPaid Seal of Approval

By now I am sure that many of you have read the article on another website trashing SR for "losing" the BeenPaid Seal of Approval.

First of all, we did not "lose" it because we did anything wrong. We simply made a decision not to turn over our records this year to have our Seal renewed. We made this decision for two reasons. The biggest reason was that one of the requirements of maintaining your Seal is that you display the Seal on the main page of your website. We were having a lot of complaints that when the Seal did not load, our entire front page did not load. Because we had to remove the Seal, we did not think that it was fair that we continue to apply for the award. Second, we were getting a lot of feedback from members who joined through BeenPaid that we were not giving them enough paid clicks and emails. Because we have changed our focus from a paid email site to a cash back shopping site, I didn't feel that we fit their demographics anymore.

Next, I would like to say publicly how unfair it is for a supposedly unbiased website to run a story like that without contacting me. Believe me when I say that the owner of the site knows how to get a hold of me. She chose not to.

You all can make up your own minds about whether you think that Sunshine Rewards really pays out its members or not. I don't need to convince any of you.

Strange how some people are so jealous of SR that they have to start crap about us. Go figure.

BTW, if anyone wants to know how we pay out, they are welcome to see my notebook of every giftcard sent, number and who too. It makes your head spin.

Seal, schmeal....who cares? All I know is that I've "been paid" by SR for hundreds of dollars in gift cards and this is a great, trustworthy, honest site with great customer service. I don't think any loyal users of this site would care one way or the other about some seal.

I'm sorry you are having to deal with this!! I can definitely attest to having "been paid" quite a bit and have no complaints! SR has got to be the best reward site in terms of customer service and honesty! I know that those traits will keep SR around for the long run when some of those other sites are long gone. It just infuriates me that they would run a story like this without even contacting you!:(

SR has MY BeenPaid Seal of Approval!!:sunshine: I know I have been paid plenty and always in good time - unlike some other site I don't do any more that took over 2 months to send me a $10 dollar check. I've never come across a site that is more honest and reliable not only in paying out but in every other way too.
I haven't seen the article either, and I'm sorry it's out there.

Tricia, you have gained your members trust by running an honest program and by communicating openly with all of us. Hopefully that speaks louder than any seal of approval!

I have no clue who the other site is... WHY you ask????? Because SR has so many wonderful people AND opprotunities to earn money and have fun that it takes up ALL of my free time therefore I have no reason to go to another site who like to trash people and their hard earned work.

I can attest to the fact that my family took $350 in Disney gift cards with us in Nov FROM SR that arrived in LESS then a weeks time of cashing out. We used those cards to eat, snack, eat and buy souviners that we may have not spent as much on has it not been for SR.

Seal or no Seal SR gets the award for best Rewards site in my book. As a post I said earlier before does any of those sites have people where out of the GOODNESS OF THEIR HEARTS send other members bday cards, presents, fake snow when a member is having a bad day, cards and goodies to a husband recovering from surgery? NOT!

Anyhow I do not have TIME to spend on any other reward or paid site because Tricia, Cindy, Angie and SG put so much time and effort into making this site the best it could be, that I have no desire to leave!

I guess what perturbs me most about this is the issue that someone might (will) read that article (wherever it is) and decide not to join this site based on something that, at least to us who have responded in this thread so far, is really not important to us.

I do remember the seal (which is quite a feat for me because the memory is going quickly but you'll have to read another thread for some info on that!) but I don't remember it that well and it sure as heck didn't draw me to SR.

What I do hope is that SR continues to grow, and grow in a good way so that this business continues to thrive for years down the road.

I strive to show all my referrals wht sunshine is all about. One of the biggest things I see is the personalness of this site. If you email a person on the other rewards sites you get a canned answer. Here if you email help you get a person. That right there makes it the best rewards site out there.

So sorry that you have to deal with this issue! I hate that you have been hurt by negative comments about the wonderful business that you have built. Sunshine rewards will survive just by word of mouth.... you need no official seal.

When I joined SR at the end of January, I thought it would be a nice bit of change for our trip to Disney. I never dreamed that in 3 months I would have almost $300 accumulated! I cannot begin to imagine what I will have earned by the time our trip comes in December....as well as into the future after that! I have earned an amazing amount of money through surveys, paid offers, and wonderful contests/incentives. I have also received a lot of money from shopping offers. But in addition to the SR rewards I have in my account from shopping, I have saved TONS of money with coupons, sales and offers I found through SR! Thank you SR!

I have been cyber bullied once and it was awful. Anyone can post anything they want on the internet but it doesn't make it true. We all know first hand that SR is good site.

I think you made a wise choice with the been paid seal. When I saw the other sites that were in the best of the year contest, I was amazed that people went to such crappy sites... you are definitely in a different group that the sites on been paid.

I am sorry you got bad press from it... but it isn't like that person was promoting SR anyway. It is a shame when a person claims to help you chose between reward sites... but isn't being honest in evaluating the sites. I think they used to be good at it, but obviously it has become more personal and biased now in a bad way.

You can have the Faithhope been paid/having fun/earning lots/ #1 site of the year seal :sunshine2::love:

I joined SR in August 2007. Since then I've amassed a bunch of gift cards for Christmas, $400 in Disney gift cards, and am awaiting my latest $200 in Disney gift cards that I cashed out for a few days ago. So who hasn't been paid?????? What a lot of rubbish BeenPaid is spreading!

I have never been part of a rewards site...until now. I read through things about SR on the DIS boards and finally got it together and signed up in Aug 2007. This has been the best place in the world! No seal needed here.

For what it's worth, I'm not even really worrying about the money aspect of my SR membership anymore. I'm more involved w/my forum friends more than anything. I'm addicted to my forum friends & do offers/surveys/etc on the side! :p

So for that I give Sunshine Rewards the Friendship Seal of Approval...and really that's all that matters...that we're all friends! :sunshine::hugs:

As for the emotional post...didn't see it but saw a new ID that I thought was most interesting!! Ahhh the forum drama!! Gotta love it!!

But Tricia-Don't try to worry what others say. You know you have many loyal fans out here! We don't care if there is a seal or not!

Count me among those who didn't know you had a seal. Like others have said, you have my seal of approval. You even went the extra mile when Disney wouldn't send me a card because of my address!

Hopefully anyone thinking about joining who has questions will come here and read how satisfied we are.

I'm so lost. First, I never noticed the seal to begin with, and second, I think the only reason why these articles keep popping up to give you bad press is because they are jealous. You obviously have hit upon a business plan that not only works, but generates extremely loyal users, to the point where we give up other programs we have been members of for long times!
I couldn't find the article, but that's probably a good thing. I'd most likely give them a piece of my mind.

Not only have you given me the opportunity to have some guilt free fun at Disney with my family, but you've provided me with a creative outlet via ChattyWomen, which ALSO makes money. Girl...you are a money making machine!! Don't let them get you down. SR is where it's at!

A long while back you were running a special Disney cash out and I posted on the DISboards that I was bummed because I was .01 short. You put up a paid click just for me. Personally, the BeenPaid Seal didn't do much for me because I have been a member of some of those other approved sites and none of them measure up to SR. :sunshine:

I am closing in on $800 in gift cards, very soon and can not thank Tricia and the rest enough. That is money earned in less than a year just spending time on my favorite obsessions, internet and shopping. We will have a great time spending the EXTRA $$$ in 27 days.:sunshine2::cooldance:

When I first discovered Dis last year while planning our trip, I decided to check out the "rewards" sites that were discussed. I tried out a lot of them, and in a matter of weeks the only one I continued to visit was Sunshine. It was mostly because I got interested in the people posting in the forum. By now, not even a year later I feel like you're my second family. I second what Jen said about it no longer being for the money (as long as I still make SM!) I feel like if I don't check the forum everyday I'm going to miss important parts of my friends' lives. SR has so much more to offer than cash rewards. They offer caring and generous people that I'm proud to call friends. We don't need a seal to prove that. One of my coworkers has a favorite phrase lately that we really need in this situation, "Hakuna Matata!" That's what I say.

I've been thinking about this a lot. And I was thinking about Dude's comment about new members. And I thought about when I joined almost 2 years ago. I had been bitten in a massive paid-to-click site, and therefore did not trust this "Sunshine Rewards" site I heard people extolling the virtues of on the DIS. I joined, but what got me to join, even on a site only 5 months old, was how into it the membership was-iit wasn't like some other sites where it was money, money money.

What I mean is, SR can make it sans that seal.

I'm late seeing this and have been out of the loop lately. I love SR and can't be bothered with any other paid sites. I love it here, and although I enjoy making $$ for my Disney trips, it's the community here that I value. I have fun here, and feel like I'm part of something really nice. If I just wanted to make money, I'd go work some overtime at work.

I havent cashed out for anything yet because I am waiting for my cause to come together. But when it comes time to I am sure everything will be fine.

I agree!! SR gets the "SR Members" seal of approval and that's all that matters to me! :)

I haven't ever had an issue with a pay out, and the SR staff has always been timely in responding to all concerns/issues that I've had on offers, trouble tickets, sales, etc. I'm lucky if I get any answer at all from some of the big sites!!

Anyone who needs to see if we've all "been paid" before trusting SR can click over to the forum and learn all they need to know! :sunshine:

I don't know how important that seal is supposed to be. But you only have to look at the earnings banners of the SR members and read our forum boards to know that this is one extremely sucessful and happy site. If we were not getting paid it would not be that way.

There are offers that we do not get paid for that happens on any of these sites. But SR is upfront and honest about earnings and how we will be paid, and they go to bat for us and it is personal help not fill in the blank emails.

The SR site speaks for itself. However, if you need any of your members to do anything to back you up on your honesty you can count me in!

I have heard of Been Paid but it wouldn't matter to me whether you have the seal or not. I've been paid from here every time I have cashed out and anyone can see you have alot of happy members on this site.

I chose this site because I heard different users say how much they liked it. It had nothing to do with seals or websites that review sites. I had tried sites that were reviewed well, and frankly I didn't like them. I love this site and I have no plans on going anywhere. At the risk of sounding redundant - I've said it before and I'll repeat it as many times as necessary - Sunshine Rewards is THE BEST rewards site...period. End of sentence. I took a ton of Disney gift cards on our vacation last year that I would never have had without SR....but that's really not even the half of it.

Tricia, Cindy and crew ALL go above and beyond in trying to help their members - and that is an extreme understatement...

It's such a shame that someone is so completely jealous that they have to post such negativity...
