I tried 5 times this morning and finally got a really easy one about injuries/accidents/emergencies lol. :)

I did that Ice Tea one yesterday and when it didn't go back to the Sunshine page I was not happy. I ended up doing another one, but I hated wasting an hour on the computer for .80. I wish I had checked this thread first but couldn't remember where it was at the time.
Also, last Saturday night (August 4th) my husband did one pretending to shop at CompUsa and another store and didn't get the Sunshine page either. I still haven't told him that we never got credit and I was too tired to go in and do another.
This is the first time I have ever had that happen. Beware of both of them! :computer:
Fortunately, I am still on track with 11 of 12 surveys done!
The Keynote ones you have to be really careful on because they have a hidden timer and I think they also have something that tells them if you really did everything it asked you to do. So if you do them too fast or don't really do what is asked exactly you won't get credit for them. In the event you get one of these and it gives you the congratulations page go back in and try to do another survey. The worst that can happen is you will get 2 survey credits that day.
He took over 30 minutes to do this survey. The "pretending" part was that he had to do everything to purchase a computer and stop just before entering our credit card and actually purchasing one. He's an "over thinker" when he does surveys and sits and thinks about every answer which is why it always takes him so long.
That was a Saturday night at 10:00 and I did see if I could go do another so I already assumed we wouldn't get credit but I was sooo tired that I couldn't stand the thought of sitting in front of the computer another 30 minutes.
I think that would be a great idea. I have tried on and off all day to qualify for a survey and just could not get the green light. I just tried and got the iced tea on - I was so tempted to do it and see what happens but I know that I would be really mad if I did it and didn't get credit. :computer: So, I treid again and got a really painless survey about new and different alcholic products. I guess becasue we were just at a big party last weekend, I qualified. :cooldance: I wish I could get more of those kind.
If you're doing a survey through zintelligence (or something like that) and you're being asked about camping, knives, oil and gas, fishing, bikes, and such...settle in with a coffee. It's a long one.
Oh, and when you get to the part where you're dragging and dropping brands you use into squares, and it doesn't look like it's working, hit "refresh". Of course, I don't KNOW that I'll get credit tomorrow for it, but it went through to SR and I've "exceeded" my limit, so it does SEEM like I've finished with it. Anyway, hitting refresh made each of those pages work, when they weren't working, so I'm suggesting that if they don't work for anyone else unlucky enough to get that survey.
And what is UP with the survey creators? Why do they think that just because you've HEARD of a product or brand, means you have an OPINION on it? It's really faulty logic that they use.
There was another survey logic moment last week, one that you either had to lie or just leave the survey if you were in my position. They asked what products, or whatever, you had EVER used.
Oh yeah, it was the diet survey. What diets had you ever used in the past. EVER being the key word. So I replied with all of the diets I had ever used.
Then it wanted a numerical value of how many times you had used it THAT YEAR. Zero was NOT allowed.
So I had answered that I had indeed used slimfast and one other, which I had, b/c that was the answer to their question. But then they wouldn't let me state "0" for how many times I had used it in the last year... Causing a person to leave the survey, or lie.
Bad bad survey logic.
It takes serious thought to do a good survey. And not all of these surveys we do have been thought about seriously before putting out there...
Greenfield just did system maintainance - kicked me right out of a survey I had invested 20 minutes in....:computer:
Any of y'all ever do a survey and then in a few hours can't remember WHAT you did the survey on?? That's me tonight!! It's Monday!!
I write down the ones I take that go through. Too many to try to rememberQuote:

By request. This thread is for posts about which surveys should be avoided because of technical issues or other issues. Please keep this one for only these types of posts and use the other thread for regular survey discussion. Thanks and I HTH!
Your wish is my command. Use it well and enjoy!
The dell one that makes you download something
The pet one where you join a club.
Iced Tea one #0700123j.
Here is the URL. I just got this one AGAIN!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
http://surveys.melissak.com/a708/?GID=g136774 The ID number is #007123j
It takes a long time, doesn't take you back to SR and doesn't credit.
Thank you Janet!!!
Thanks for the new avoid thread!
The CompUSA where you had to go in and pick out a computer and peripherals including printers, scanners, etc and do everything except enter your credit card number and buy it.
Any of the Keynote evaluator surveys should be avoided. This is the survey that you have to pretend to shop at a website. I have done them at least 2 times, once for Wal-Mart and once for Best Buy. Neither time credited. And they always take me at least 30 minutes to do.
I do want to make a suggestion to everyone that posts on this thread. If you have the survey number, like Kathie posted above, that would be so much more helpful in avoiding these bad suveys, rather than saying for example"the iced tea survey" or "the cell phone survey". Because I know I have taken 2 different kinds of cell phone surveys.
great idea thanks Janet
Thanks guys!
Oh, great idea for a thread! This could be helpful!
I always pretty much avoid the Phoenix and Gongo surveys. They take a long time and usually boot me out after I have been doing them a while or I don't receive credit after completing them. It could just be me though!
WAAAAAHHHHH!!! I didn't have time all day to try to get a survey, so finally at 11:30pm I get one (after about 6 failed attempts) and it's this one. I finished it at exactly 11:57pm......and then no congrats page :computer: :computer: Not cool :computer: :computer:
Thanks Janet! I look forward to checking that thread before attempting any surveys for the day.
I second the Phoenix surveys. They take forever and are usually on boring subjects. My DH did one on cars and when he got to 100% completed he clicked on the next button and the progress bar dropped back down to 30%. He then had to answer about twenty more pages of questions before he "really" completed the survey.
I just got routed into the ice tea survey again! Recognized it right away. Here's the URL if you want to avoid it: http://surveys.melissak.com/a708/?GID=g128105
Is anyone else starting to have problems getting a survey?
It took me many tries this morning but finally go one about Hardware stores and paint.
Yes, I've tried about 20 times this morning as so far nothing yet, but I will keep trying!
Don't feel bad we I haven't gotten one here recently either.
