Thanks to all of the Sunshine Rewards members who submitted some really great causes. We had a hard time even narrowing it down! Some causes received multiple nominations, so we gave those a little bit more weight. We also tried to narrow it down to different types of causes while including all the major categories (health, kids, animals, etc).

Feel free to leave comments in support of any charity listed but be advised that NEGATIVE comments about other charities may be removed. All of these charities are important to someone.

I encourage you to check out the websites of all of the charities before you vote. In addition to raising some money for a good cause, let’s also raise some awareness for all of them!

A few years ago we promoted Sunshine Rewards charities of the month. Somehow we got out of that practice and would like to get back to raising money for good causes. One of the problems is that there are so many causes to support that it is hard to choose!

That’s where you come in. We want to promote causes that are near and dear to the hearts of our members. We’d like to try something new this month. From now through September 18, submit to us a charity that you want us to raise money for. It can be a big known organization like Make a Wish or something smaller, even in your community.

We’ll take those entries and on September 19 open it up for voting for 5-10 of those (depending on how many are submitted). The cause with the most votes will be our first charity. For the week of September 23 we will have various ways that members can donate credits and we will match them. In addition, we’ll auction off some prizes with the proceeds going to your charity.

• You must be an active member of Sunshine Rewards as of September 16, 2013, to nominate. We want to support causes important to our loyal members!
• Voting will be public voting and you are encouraged to tell your friends to vote.

• Charity submissions will end September 18, 2013, at midnight.
