If you know the Sunshine Rewards family at all, you know we spend a LOT of time in Disney. We are Annual Passholders and own DVC. We use our Southwest card to earn points to fly for free. We are pros at finding ways to save here and there so that we can take more Disney trips!
After researching for weeks and working through all of our merchants, I came up with the best way to get Disney Gift Cards discounted so that you can save on pretty much everything you buy at Disney.
As a big Disney fan, people are always asking me "How do I save money on Disney gift cards?" The best trick I have figured out will not only save you the MOST on your gift cards but will allow you to pay with your credit card and earn rewards on top of it!! If that doesn't work for you, I have a few other options as well.
How to Stack Deals on Disney Gift Cards
I don't know how long this will work, so take advantage of it while you can.
First, right now you can get Disney Gift Cards at Sam's Club for between and 2% and 5% off depending on denomination:

$50 egift card for $47.98 (4% off)

$75 in cards for $71.98 (4% off)

$150 in cards for $144.98 (3.3% off)

$500 card for $484.98 (3% off)

$200 egift card for $190 (5% off)

$50 card for $48.98 (2% off)
As you can see, the best deal right now is for ecards. This will vary as Sam's Club runs special deals (like Black Friday)
Next, Sunshine Rewards currently has cash back at Sam's Club to 1%, although Disney Gift Cards are currently excluded. This changes from month to month, so it's always worth it to try, especially if you are ordering other items as well.
So with this you can save up to 5% on your Disney Gift Cards. Plus! Make sure you are using your rewards credit card (Disney, Southwest, etc) to get extra rewards!
Don't have a Sam's Club card? You can currently get one discounted through Groupon. If you are buying $500 or more in cards, it makes the membership worth it.
Target Red Card
If you happen to have a Target RedCard, you can use it to take 5% off Gift Cards at Target. I don't like this method as much because it comes right out of my checking account so I don't get the extra credit card airline points on my purchase. But if you don't want a Sam's Club membership, this isn't a bad option! The cards themselves are not discounted and you can't get cash back, but you do at least get that RedCard discount.
Discounts on All Gift Cards
There are a number of gift card merchants that sell discounted gift cards year round but usually only around 1% off for Disney. However, they also run around 1-2% cash back on Sunshine Rewards so you may be able to save up to 3%. This isn't as good as the Sam's Club or Target deals, but you also don't have to be a member or use any kind of special payment method, so it would be an okay alternative for some people. One of the best merchants for this is eBay.

Lastly, if you aren't already a Sunshine Rewards member, you'll get $5 just for signing up. And then you can use all of your SR money to cash out for more Disney Gift Cards if you like!
