My kids are hard on shoes. I don’t know if it’s the running, the dragging their feet on the swings, or just the fact that they are kids. I’m amazed at how flimsy kids’ shoes are usually made. Don’t the manufacturers understand what kids use them for? I was pleasantly surprised when I received a pair of etnies for my daughter and saw how incredibly well they are made. It’s clear that etnies understands that clothes and shoes are meant to be used…and hard! The soles are thick and the shoes are padded. And yet the pink made them just feminine enough for my little girly-girl.

Halloween is coming soon and that is the perfect time for Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans. If you haven’t heard of them, they are one of the candies mentioned in the Harry Potter books and now being made by Jelly Belly.

The Bertie Bott’s jelly beans are fun because you never know what flavor you are getting. They range from yummy peach to a disgusting vomit. How fun would these be to give out on Halloween or to have in a bowl at your Halloween party?
