In celebration of Amazon winning 5 Emmy’s at the 67th Emmy Awards this week, they are dropping the price for one year of Amazon Prime to just $67 today (Friday) only. (It is usually priced at $99 a year.) That breaks down to only $5.58 a month!
Once I started using Amazon Prime, I could never go back. We use it for watching movies and tv shows plus the free 2-day shipping. They recently started letting you download the movies for 3 days as well, so we are using that feature as much as possible. If you place one order a month for a year, you are likely to recover the cost of the membership just through saving on shipping.
If you have ever considered trying Amazon Prime, today is the day!

The other day I saw a Facebook post that made me really excited for the part that Sunshine Rewards played in it. We have always prided ourselves on two things: building our community and encouraging small businesses. I asked the author to write something up that I could publish on our blog and share with our members. Below is that post from Kimberly Schager along with some links to what she is doing.
If you have a story you would like to share about what you have gotten from the Sunshine Rewards community, let me know!

Many moons ago a disney addict joined Sunshine Rewards to earn cash for surveys and shopping to get gift cards for Disney for free. Tricia, the owner, Sunshine Rewards created a forum for members to chat in. This is where our story begins. In the forum I saw a picture of a person who looked like my best friend. It couldn’t be, but oh indeed it was. What a random place to find her. Better yet she didn’t live that far away. And along the way I gained some awesome friendships.
Last year I took the leap to become a consultant with Usborne Books and More. Right after I joined my best friend Janeese who I found here joined on. Next was a dear friend Patti. She too was a Sunshine connection who we had many of the same adventures in common. Then yesterday Tammy another Sunshine member joined my team. It was so cool.
The neat part about it all is Usborne Books our parent team is called The Sunshine Team. So Tricia your Sunshine Rewards group is showcased in my everyday life. For that I thank you. Thank you for helping me build my company, even if you didn’t know you did.
Sunshine Rewards Rocks!!!

Some of my all-time favorite shirts to wear at Disney have come from TeeFury. Right now they have compiled them into one big collection they are calling the ‘Happiest Tees on Earth” (for obvious reasons). Here are a few of my favorites:
- The Inconceivables (a mashup of the Incredibles and Princess Bride)
- Troy Story (a Trojan Horse in the Toy Story movie format)
- Vintage Snow Queen (my daughter gets so many compliments on this one!)
- Come Away with Me (Dr. Who and Cinderella)
If you love Disney and other pop culture, you have to check out this selection. All shirts are $20 but if you use code SUMMER15 through the weekend, you can take 15% off.
Update: You can now use code TFSEPT15 through the end of September to get 15% off.

If you love to buy books as much as I do, you are going to go crazy over this sale at Book Outlet. They are running a clearance sale right now where you can take an additional 50% off their low prices on over 25,000 books.
Now, I have to admit that I normally buy most of my books through Amazon because of my Prime membership. But when I started comparing prices, I found that the deals at Book Outlet far outweighed the shipping price if I ordered 2 or more books. Some of the books are over 80% less than Amazon prices. Here are some examples with comparisons to the Amazon prices:
And Nothing But the Truthiness: The Rise (and further rise) of Stephen Colbert by Lisa Rogak: (Sale: $1.99, Amazon: $10.40)
21: Bringing Down the House: The Inside Story of Six M.I.T. Students Who Took Vegas for Millions by Ben Mezrich (Sale: $1.99, Amazon: $13.80)
He’s Just Not That into You: The No-Excuses Truth to Understanding Guys (Newly Expanded Edition) by Greg Behrendt (Sale: 2.49, Amazon: $8.70)
Summerset Abbey: Spring Awakening by T.J. Brown (Sale: $1.99, Amazon: $10.66)
These Few Precious Days: The Final Year of Jack with Jackie by Christoper Andersen (Sale: $2.49, Amazon: $10.50)
Here are a handful of other titles in the sale that I thought looked interesting:
- Why Israel Can’t Wait: The Coming War Between Israel and Iran by Jerome R. Corsi
- The $5 Dinner Mom One-Dish Dinners Cookbook
- Someone Else’s Life by Katie Dale
- Blood Brothers by S.A. Harazin
- Jesse: A Mother’s Story by Marianne Leone
As you can see, it would be easy to find at least 2 books worth buying! Plus, don’t forget that you get 5% cash back at Book Outlet from Sunshine Rewards.
