Daily Survey Technical Issues Thread

It must be the day - I just did a fairly short survey on brands of shoes. I took my time and answered all the questions - even the classification questions at the end. I thought that I was done and I went back to the SR page and it said that I didn't qualify. :confused: Off to try another one.

3rd time in last 2 weeks, a commercial survey that lets me finish and then says, you do not qualify! the main commerical on this one was about sunglasses. has this happened to others?
i don't want to sound fussy, but it's bothering me that this keeps happening! i have taken some like this before, with emphasis on a different commercial each time, and this didn't use to happen. :confused: wonder what's up with it now?

I did the same one, and I had that gut feeling the whole time, that these do not tend to work unless a good deal of time is spent on them. That is not a answer for these I spent over 30 minutes on it, the last page I was on was picked the scene that was not that interesting, of course they make you choose 2, I did that answer the ?ds then it goes to that white pages that states you did not qualify. I spent more than enough time it was longer than 30 minutes, I timed it. What makes me so mad is that I knew that was exactly what was going to happen. I will never do another survey that has that funny small print and videos. It happens to everyone from what I read posted here.
I only did it surveys have slim pickins for the last several days.

Things have been going well for me, except for last night. I did get the congrats page for DS and SM DS, and got through OTX. However, none credited.

I know I am getting concerned about this. They have been crediting well all weekend, except for sunday.:confused::confused:

I've tried qualifying for all 3 surveys this morning. At first, it allowed me to have some options for which I did not qualify. I tried all 3 surveys again and it's redirecting me to the Ask.com search engine or telling me that it cannot display the webpage. I'm not sure if it's my computer or a glitch somewhere else, just a heads up.

I went back in and tried and the box you click in to start the survey is either not there or the box is outlined with no text in it.

The same thing is happening under the offers tab. I clicked on several offers and get redirected to Ask.com or told webpage cannot be displayed.

I'm not even getting the little red x. It just won't display the image at all - and then I finally get a 'page cannot be displayed' screen.

I'm only seeing the little x on IE, when using Firefox there is nothing there at all, I guess we will have to be patient and wait for it to be fixed...yesterday I had such a hard time qualifying for a DS that it was early evening before I was finally able to get one. I guess I could go clean my house and do some laundry to pass the time? :rotfl:

Although I didn't do a survey, yesterday I was sent to a "sign up with us and do a survey and get a giftcard" thing with that same company. Honestly I got so psyched about the study that I totally forgot how I got there, but I just realized I was never taken back to SR and obviously did not get credit.

Being that they track differently there is a chance the DS will credit tomorrow. I probably would wait it out and not take another.

I took a surey just now that took me about 40 minutes and was on children's clothing. When I answered the last question and the progress bar hit all the way green it said unfortunately you dont qualify on the screen. HOWEVER, it went back to the SR congrats page. I wonder if this means it will credit LOL I have never had a survey say I didn't qualify and then send me to the congrats page.

I think only the DS can be reported, there is a link to report problems at the bottom of the Greenfield Daily Survey page on SR.

Not any more of a fan of complaining than other folks here - but not only does it seem more difficult to qualify for a survey at all these days (at least for me, the last 4 months or so!), but GF's 'fraud-detection' system seems to be more hyper-sensitive. By that I mean I know we need to take our time answering questions, and I DO, I really DO! But then, it seems if I don't take quite as long to answer, say, the 5th question as I did the 1st 4, I get booted. Or, even the screen that first pops up, asking if you will take the time to be thoughtful, honest, etc - I've begun to wait a bit before clicking that to go on, and will sometimes be booted immediately anyway! This all seems more stringent than it was before. Does it seem that way to others, or is it maybe me who's being over-sensitive and fussing too much here?! Sorry if this post bugs anyone...not my intention. Just want to understand the situation better.
My life doesn't really revolve around surveys, so it's not that huge a deal to me; but I would sure like to be able to get a few more than I have been, and not have it be such a struggle! Oh well...maybe in another few months.....

Sorry you are having issues. I've had great success this month. I noticed when I took a brainjuicer survey yesterday that it would freak out if I had any other tabs open so I had to close everything to complete the survey.

I haven't noticed a time issue with how long I take to answer questions. I don't quite understand the booting after the initial screen to agree to keep things confidential. The only thing I can think of is that the survey is full. I think it just happens. Just don't take things personally, take breaks, and try again. :)

I agree. I don't think that getting booted after the initial screen is a timing thing. I usually think the survey is full. I think the best we can do is go into it with the idea that we are getting paid to answer questions thoughtfully and honestly. This means reading all of the questions and answers before answering and taking our time. If we do that and we still get booted it is part of the program and we have to just move on to the next survey. I can't tell you how many times I get the same survey over and over asking the same questions over and over and get kicked out at the same point over and over but I have to go through them if I ever want to get to another survey I won't get booted out of. Good luck and hopefully today will be an easy survey day for you.

This same thing just happened to me! When it showed the you didn't qualify page, I reported it to GF, then clicked continue and behold, it said I had completed the survey. Strange. Did you get the survey credit?!

I just did a DS about a variety of electronics you purchase and/or own, brands, when and where purchased, etc. I was about 35 minutes into it when it asked what I would change about how I would shop for an electronic the next time I am going to purchase something. I said I would not change anything. All of a sudden it went back to the SR page saying there were no surveys available. I don't think I have ever had that happen before. Do you think this is a technical issue? I can't imagine why a survey would do that after 35 minutes. Has anyone completed this survey recently?

i just spent over 20 minutes on this SAME survey, got to the LAST question at the 100% mark, then i was told their quota was full for respondents in my group! that BITES! if they're going to boot you, they should do it at the beginning. i feel this is cheating and gets their survey done without paying the survey taker.

I'm glad you only spent 20 minutes on the survey. I spent over 45 minutes on the same survey and got the same result. NO SR congrats page. I did report it, and I'm done with surveys right now too. I have NEVER, in over 2 years had this happen and it's especially frustrating with such long surveys where you really take your time and give them a lot of information. I think this might just be a bad survey stretch for me. Now of course there are no options.

Sorry to hear BrainJuicer is giving people trouble. I've done a few of them the past week and really enjoy them. I've never hit the quota screen. Strange. I did notice they have some answer choices that might be screeners so I tend to type responses rather than pick from their buttons.

Instead of reporting it directly to Greenfield, you should report it via SR. If you go to your main DS page, but instead of clicking on it, go to the bottom of the page, you'll find a link to report problem surveys. I usually keep my problem survey open and use a different window to open and report the problem survey so I can copy and paste the info they request. HTH.

Very strange. I've never had a problem reporting a survey that way. Perhaps someone else will have a better answer. Good luck.

I had one about different vitamins and it gave me an error page partway through. I tried refreshing and it just showed all my previous answers as I went through the survey again. I got the same error message and did report it to GF. Hopefully that one will get fixed.

Got the same one yesterday, but the movie clip loaded, watched it, but when I clicked next, it said I already had finished this part of the survey.:confused: I clicked okay, and it took me right back to the same movie clip and so on, and so on. I think it needs a little fixing. Did report it.

I agree. It's been close to 6 months since I've been able to successfully complete a movie survey and get credit. I believe I got the same survey as you did, but WAS able to load and watch the clips, answer all the questions, do the demographics. The last question was agreeing to keep info to myself. I clicked on that then hit next. It took me to a generic greenfield URL and the message that the survey is currently unavailable. Luckily, I had saved the URL immediately prior to getting the generic URL and was able to give an informed error report. Can't do more than that.

i don't know if this is technical or not but here goes. for some reason this morning i cannot get into my ds or sm survey. when i try to do them a page comes up saying internet explorer cannot display the page and under the ds the gf box does not load - all that is there is a red x - no gf logo. can anyone help me please. :thanks:

Ugh just did the convienence store shopping survey as a Your2Cents survey. I had no idea that I was going to end up with the white thank you page. Normally that isn't a big deal with the DS as credit will come along later but not with Y2C since they are cookie based and the cookie wasn't triggered. Very frustrating. I have to say I hated this survey and couldn't navigate once in the actual store. I somehow ended up on the roof!

I don't know what I did. I was going forward and thought I would just run into the display but ended up above everything. I finally was able to select a piece of gum to check out and get out of that part of the survey. It still makes me mad just thinking about it.

Too funny, Cate. I seemed to do OK in the 'practice' session but also had a terrible time once I got in the store - thought it was just me, but guess not. Couldn't get the angles right to see what was on some of the shelves, don't know how I managed to get a door open to some soda but then couldn't get it shut - it was a nightmare and then not to get credit!!!! I grabbed a bottle of soda just to check out and get out of there!

I can't get a movie survey to load... it is about a new disney movie... all I get is a white screen... well not really white... if I drag my mouse over it to highlight it...there are some white on white words... but nothing to click on ... no movie preview...sigh..and I really wanted to do that one.

are you in Firefox by any chance? I sometimes have luck copying the address where you are stuck, then opening IE, going to DS like you are going to take a survey and when on that page, paste that address into the address bar and you should be able to continue with the same survey where you left off. It works most of the time for me, I always start my surveys in Firefox but every once in a while I need to finish it in IE. Not sure if this will help you but worth a try.

Same here. It booted me out at the very end on the race/nationality question. Why can't they put these at the beginning?!?! I'm super slow and read well, so doubt it was that. :computer:

I had the funeral one 2 days ago and did get the congrats page and it credited. I'm sorry so many of you have gotten burned by it. With your reporting it, hopefully it will be fixed so no one else gets burned.

Just got the funeral one, too, and it wouldn't let me advance past the 5 digit zipcode. I finally erased my zipcode and put "I prefer not to answer," then it went ahead and advanced and asked if I'd be willing to do a follow-up survey. I said "yes" and put in my e-mail addy, entered and got the "Congrats" page. Sure hope it credits.

I'm having a terrible time getting the 2 cents survey to credit. I did one early this evening on financial services -- I hate those and usually close out, but I'm so behind on getting to super member that I sucked it up and did it. It didn't credit, so at 11 I tried again. Well, midnight just passed and it looks like the one on travel websites didn't credit either. I did these on two different computers and cleared cookies right before the latter one. :computer:

Is anyone else having more problems than usual getting credit? I also am getting nothing on OTX -- doesn't even give me the "would you like to try for another survey page" before taking me to the AMP offers.

Oh well . . . I still love SR.

I'm happy to say that I got a survey...and it took me back to the congrats page... and it even warned me it would be an interactive survey taking an hour... but I didn't realize how bad it would be... an hour is a long time... I so earned that .90

Just an FYI....I just did an insurance DS. Not a bad survey at all and not too long. When it was finished there was a white page that said Thank you, you may now close this window or continue to browse the internet, something similar. I was afraid I would not get the SR congrats page. It stayed on that thank you page for about 20 seconds and then the congrats page came up, so don't close out of it thinking you won't get the congrats page.

All three have gone to the "thank you" page just like they should. It was too late last night, so I didn't do another one. Thursday, the first one and the other one didn't credit. Just strange. I didn't even do the two Thursday on the same computer.

has anything changed on your computer lately (settings, cookies, etc) and are you deleting your cookies after you complete your ds? as long as you get the congrats page it should credit so something must be stopping that process. wish i could give you some answers as to why this is happening but i am not all that computer savvy. has this been happening more lately or has this happened prior to last week? all i can say is to keep trying and hopefully you can get a sm survey to credit for you. keep smiling and have a great weekend.:sunshine2:

Thanks for the encouragement, marcymajor. I just got one to credit! I don't know what the problem was, but maybe it's over. Of course I've had a few not to credit before, but never three in a row. My dailies and OTX (when I can get them) were crediting fine, and I don't think anything had been changed on the computers.

UGH I had that Funeral survey a few days ago too!! it was a SM survey and i was luckily able to do another one later to get my credit!

I did a DS this morning, one of the 60 minute intereactive ones. i've had a few and good luck with them, but this one.....when i finished and got the congrats page, the link took you to a dead page!! The URL didn't work! It went to the congrats page, click this link to finish your survey, but the link didn't work! I dont' know if it's going to credit or not!!

Do you think i should do another one? I'm trying for the DS bonus at the end of the month! I dont' want to miss a DS!

It was me that put in the wrong day as my answer just to see what would happen :rotfl: I got this same survey question last week and it is still not fixed and I reported it AGAIN. It must be some sort of test, why else would they still be asking this question? No rhyme or reason for it though! :confused:

The technical problem is that it is apparently not coded correctly to recognize what day it is or to change as people get the survey on different days.

DD worked on a survey tonight about a new movie. When she clicked to load the movie preview, the survey went to a blank white page and wouldn't load. I reported it to GF, but now DD is curious what she missed. I guess I will have to Google the movie to find out about it for her!

I had 3 movie surveys today from PS surveys, tried it in FF when you get to watching the trailer it crashed FF, tried it again in IE and still not able to get to the trailer, get the error page. Anyone else have this happen today? I have always been able to see the trailer from this PS. Thanks for any input.

Thanks for letting me know... that is what I guessed... It really hurts when you get the congrats SR screen and you don't get the credit... especially since I still had a small chance at SM... so it really hurts to have it happen now.:cry:

I had this one as a regular daily survey and the same thing happened to me, so I did report it. That was frustrating, as I didn't click the browser's back button or try to modify previous answers, as it said I did! :computer: Didn't want to go thru the loop again, so just reported and got another one.

i had an issue with a SM survey about luxury cars....you had to watch commercials but the sound was not working. i know the sound was on on my computer, i could hear it "dinging" and when i clicked over to Youtube.com to watch a video just to make sure. worked fine. So something must be wrong on their end that the commericals are not putting forth sound???

Thanks for the feedback. I reported it too. My dd had said she had trouble with the computer earlier, but it has been working fine for me, other than the survey. Just worried about reporting an error that was me.

This is actually okay. If you don't get returned to SR, it just means that it might be on a credit delay. Greenfield does not consider these errors. As long as it says that your answers were submitted, it's okay.

Oh no! I took another one after that because when I've gotten that result in the past, it has never credited. The second one I took did route me back to SR, so I actually did two DS yesterday. That won't result in me being put in DS jail, will it? Sorry, I didn't realize it was actually okay! :blush:

Now I could be wrong but I still think it's ok to take another survey if you didn't get the SR congrats page. It's not guarenteed that the credit will show up eventually, I tihnk Tricia was just saying that GF doens't consider these errors/problem survey's. Meaning don't bother reporting it using the link bc the survey completed and credit "should" show up eventually. It doesn't happen to me often but I have taken a 2nd DS when I haven't gotten the Congrats screen and I usually only average 1 maybe 2 extra survey credits a month from those type.

I've been having trouble with the 2 cent survey's. I complete them, and it asked to submit and I get the message, "sorry, you don't qualify. The AMP is doing this too, I think I counted 6 survey's so far this month, I have completed and not gotten credit.

Not a technical issue, just wanted to post a nice positive one!

Just took a survey on a type of food being offered with new packaging and flavors, literally maybe 2 minutes long...one page for reading, 1 for if I'd buy it, then a page saying "That's all we have for you...etc." which usually after that short you expect the boot, but got the beautiful SR congrats page!

DH just did a survey on breakfood food/drink and restaurants. Got the whole way through the survey, asked him his marital status, annual income...all the typical "end of the survey" questions. Finished entering data, hit submit and got the "you do not qualify." That irks me when they clearly got all the data and SR or I won't see a penny. And...no other surveys available. :cry:

I don't think that would matter (timing out) bc I've done them at work where I've had to get up and leave to go to the notary and come back to finish it. Some have been an hour and should have only been 20 mins.

This is not really a technical issue, and I don't know if it has been mentioned before, but I just spent abot 15 min on a survey about refrigerated juices only to be taken back to the "It appears you don't qualify page."

It just infuriates me when the survey company gets so much information from the survey taker just to then bump you out! I would hate to see how long the rest of the survey would have taken!

It is this type of thing that causes me never to stick with surveys...they just make me so mad and they are not worth that aggrevation!

When this type of thing happens the company does not get ANY of your info. Usually when this happens it is because they didn't get the answer they wanted on a question. It could be that they reasked the same question a different way (which they do SOOO much lately and it aggravates me!) and you answered it differently the second time. It could also be that they thought you were going too fast (even if you and I think we are going SOOOO slow!) or some other freak thing that sets them off and makes them think they aren't getting valid answers. It is a pain and aggravating but also the "nature of the beast". Hang in there! Here are some good thoughts that you get a really easy one in its place!

I did not either. Tricia has been having GF look at somethings behind the scenes for us. Have you changed anything on your computer lately? Thinking back I realized Monday I changed my VPN settings at work and that might have had an impact on my survey woes. I changed it back today but went ahead and completed my survey tonight from home without VPN on to see if that made a difference. None of that might apply to you but just something to help you start thinking.

I do that most of the time - have something else open to do between questions - so then I'm taking 5 minutes or more to answer very basic classification questions. And there are times I STILL get kicked out suddenly and taken to the no surveys for you page, which is annoying. But I've learned that it's just the way it is/will be, even it does seem silly or arbitrary sometimes, so I deal with it and keep trying.

When it came to the end and said answer these last few questions, I did. Then it finished and instead of getting the congrats screen, I got a blank white page with nothing. Update-I left the white screen up hoping that would help to get the survey to credit and when I went back to look at it. There was an error message saying that there was an error recording the answer to the last question which was the one about what you thought about the survey. It said I would have to reanswer the last questions. But I have reanswered the last set of questions about 3 times now and I still keep getting the blank white screen and then a little while later the error message saying I would need to answer the last questions again. So obviously there is problem with the survey. Is there a place to report this like on the DS?

Update again!!-The last question finally went through because I did get a thank you message and a button to "click here to get back to your panel." Then the congrats screen came up from SR. I just saw the credit come through. Glad I left the screen open until it resolved itself. So if it happens to anyone else, I guess just leave your screen open and let it figure itself out.

i got the brain juicer survey on fruit products this morning as my sm survey and when i went to submit it i got the dreaded cache-no-cache page (also a white page). refreshed the page got the congrats page and got credit for my sm survey. there is definitely hope that since you got the congrats page you should get credit for it. hope that makes you all feel a little better.:sunshine:

Yes, and both at work and home I have pop up blocker installed but all I do is click at the long box at hte top of the page to "temp allow pop ups" and then another box opens up and I can move forward. I got that one this morning it was the first BF that worked for me in a while, it was on timeshares... :)

It asks for your address at the end and doesn't give an option not to provide it (no button to check to refuse to give info), so if you are not comfortable with that, you might choose not to invest the time in that particular survey.

I always thought that if you do not get the SR congrats page, you can try for another. Who knows when or if that generic white page will credit. I may be wrong, but that is what I remember reading before.

Just as a reminder, please do NOT fill out a complaint form if the only thing that was wrong was that you did not get returned to SR at the end. As long as you got a survey completion page, Greenfield does not consider this an error.

I am not saying I am right, it is just my feeling, I haved timed most of them, and to me some of timed , and a lot are not. I have done this survey in the past, because GF tends to put the same surveys back in rotation after a few months. So the only way we can know for sure, is if everyone that had the issue with the generic page, says how long think took to complete this survey, and the people who got the congrats page, how long did they take to complete it. If some people get congrats page, then it would make sense its a time issue, there is just no other explantion for it. What did you all think that did it? Does this make sense to you.

It makes sense what your saying but I think it's just one of those survey's that gives you a generic screen instead of the SR congrats screen. There are some like that and MOST of the time they eventually credit at least for me.

I know it took me a lot longer to complete the hospital survey today bc I'm at work and I had people asking me to do different things, so it was almost 40-45 minsbefore I actually completed it and I got the same screen as everyone else.

Oops! I had no idea that a situation like that is not a reportable one. I'll admit that I did report the hospital survey yesterday because I got a completion page that wasn't the completion page I expected. Not a generic white page just a top heading of get paid to take surveys at sunshine, will not let me copy it to show. I left it up, so when it timed out this is what I got. I do not understand this one at all, I was assuming it would not credit, so I took another, now I do not know, the timing out screen was normal, Anyone else?

I had the vaccination survey lock up on me after the movie.... I was almost half way through, and I was so enjoying telling them what I thought of that vaccine too...

Just completed a survey on beverages that does not go back to the SR congrats page. It did give me a thank you page from the company conducting the survey so I didn't report it since it was a competed survey. That makes 3 this month with no SR congrats page. None have credited so far but I'm hoping they will in the future.

I just got stuck on a movie survey for a movie my kids really want to see. :( I clicked to view a commercial, and it went to a blank white page instead of showing the video. I reported it, but I'd really like to be able to complete a movie survey sometime! :cry:

just had a survey about eye cream; there were some commercials, and the one they ask questions about is the eye cream. so I answered several questions, and then got a page with a list of things to pick what degree I agreed/disagreed. I chose strongly agree to most and somewhat agree to some. much to my surprise, I was then taken to the you did not qualify page. :confused: I think they just want you to strongly agree with most things on that page, or they don't want you to complete the survey, even if you really did qualify for it before that.

OK, not even sure what to say about this one, because I did get the congrats page. :confused: Just finished a survey on hair removal products, answered lots of questions on my habits, products I use, and my opinions. Then it said it wanted to show me two ideas for products, click to see them, the next page said click to see the ideas again, then the next page asked which idea I liked better, no reponse or no response ????? with a box for why, I typed in a note that they had not shown me any ideas yet. I clicked to the next page, wondering if they would show me something, and got the SR congrats page??? Almost seemed like they had not finished writing the survey yet???

This happened to me, too. I typed in that I hadn't even gotten to see the product ideas, so couldn't really answer which I would like! Expected to be kicked out, but got the congrats page! Very odd. But I'll take it, since my luck has been so small this month!:p
