My Survey today was about fast food quick service resturants, not to bad only too about 5 tries to get in today though!

Just got one of the best survey's on hockey. I didn't know many of the answers but it didn't matter. It probably took less than 10 minutes. Makes up for some of the other longer ones I've had lately.

I did the same one. I was turned down probably 6-7 times, and at least twice I was told there were none available for me but I went right back in and tried (same address) and got it. :sunshine: Maybe they are like a job I got once. I was told my perserverance in calling is what landed my the position. Maybe perserverance lands us the survey. Or, maybe they give us one to get rid of us.:rotfl:

I was in the middle of this one answering questions about banks and this is the final page I did. I think it also had tv viewing questions. It wouldn't progress then I got the "page expired" message. I haven't tried to take another yet.

I read yesterday that the surveys would be late posting, was that for the surveys done yesterday or the ones from the day before? I had already gotten my credit for the one on the 9th, but the one on the 10th has not credited yet...is that the one that is supossed to be late? Thank you for any help.

Surveys done on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays will credit on Monday, late in the morning. Always. :)

ligrumpygirl, whenever you've finished a survey, you can almost 100% make sure it will credit by going through as though you want to do another survey. If you end up at a page that states you have exceeded your daily survey limit, you'll almost surely get credit for it. But if you are allowed to take another survey, you'd better take it, b/c you probably didn't get credit for the one you just finished. It's just a little trick that many of us like to do (not all, though!) to try to ease our minds that what we've just done will actually credit.

Wanted to laugh at myself. Last night as I was getting ready for sleep, the thought flashed by my brain "and tomorrow my balance will be up by 80 cents", before the thought was smashed down by my laughing, because I was the one posting to remind us all about the weekend. :rotfl:

I just finished a really short and easy survey. It asked if I had bought any of the following items in July 2007: tv, digital camera, mp3 player, memery cards, etc. I had to answer a few questions about the items I had purchased and that was it- took 5 minutes at the most! I also won .03 on the sunshine scratch off this morning. Looks like its gonna be a great day! :cooldance:

Also, last Saturday night (August 4th) my husband did one pretending to shop at CompUsa and another store and didn't get the Sunshine page either. I still haven't told him that we never got credit and I was too tired to go in and do another.

The Keynote ones you have to be really careful on because they have a hidden timer and I think they also have something that tells them if you really did everything it asked you to do. So if you do them too fast or don't really do what is asked exactly you won't get credit for them. In the event you get one of these and it gives you the congratulations page go back in and try to do another survey. The worst that can happen is you will get 2 survey credits that day.

He took over 30 minutes to do this survey. The "pretending" part was that he had to do everything to purchase a computer and stop just before entering our credit card and actually purchasing one. He's an "over thinker" when he does surveys and sits and thinks about every answer which is why it always takes him so long.

That was a Saturday night at 10:00 and I did see if I could go do another so I already assumed we wouldn't get credit but I was sooo tired that I couldn't stand the thought of sitting in front of the computer another 30 minutes.

I think that would be a great idea. I have tried on and off all day to qualify for a survey and just could not get the green light. I have the opposite problem. Sometimes I'm at the end of the survey and it asks what State I'm in. So frustrating. Have done 5 in the last 5 days though. I've learned from you all to be persistent. (And I also had my BIL do a couple)

If you're doing a survey through zintelligence (or something like that) and you're being asked about camping, knives, oil and gas, fishing, bikes, and such...settle in with a coffee. It's a long one.

Oh, and when you get to the part where you're dragging and dropping brands you use into squares, and it doesn't look like it's working, hit "refresh". Of course, I don't KNOW that I'll get credit tomorrow for it, but it went through to SR and I've "exceeded" my limit, so it does SEEM like I've finished with it. Anyway, hitting refresh made each of those pages work, when they weren't working, so I'm suggesting that if they don't work for anyone else unlucky enough to get that survey.

And what is UP with the survey creators? Why do they think that just because you've HEARD of a product or brand, means you have an OPINION on it? It's really faulty logic that they use.

If you're doing a survey through zintelligence (or something like that) and you're being asked about camping, knives, oil and gas, fishing, bikes, and such...settle in with a coffee. It's a long one.

Thank you for that! Even when you tell them you have heard of the product but never purchased/tried that product, they still want your opinion. Just odd.

Thank you for that! Even when you tell them you have heard of the product but never purchased/tried that product, they still want your opinion. Just odd.

There was another survey logic moment last week, one that you either had to lie or just leave the survey if you were in my position. They asked what products, or whatever, you had EVER used.

Oh yeah, it was the diet survey. What diets had you ever used in the past. EVER being the key word. So I replied with all of the diets I had ever used.

Then it wanted a numerical value of how many times you had used it THAT YEAR. Zero was NOT allowed.

So I had answered that I had indeed used slimfast and one other, which I had, b/c that was the answer to their question. But then they wouldn't let me state "0" for how many times I had used it in the last year... Causing a person to leave the survey, or lie.

Bad bad survey logic.

It takes serious thought to do a good survey. And not all of these surveys we do have been thought about seriously before putting out there...

I've posted twice about avoiding the ice tea survey. Maybe we should start another thread with the surveys to avoid. Just a thought since so many of us are getting that survey, spending a lot of time on it and not getting credit.

I also posted about taking the iced tea one on the 9th. I never received credit.

I think a separate post about surveys to avoid is a great idea.

Any of the Keynote evaluator surveys should be avoided. This is the survey that you have to pretend to shop at a website. I have done them at least 2 times, once for Wal-Mart and once for Best Buy. Neither time credited. And they always take me at least 30 minutes to do.

I do want to make a suggestion to everyone that posts on this thread. If you have the survey number, like Kathie posted above, that would be so much more helpful in avoiding these bad suveys, rather than saying for example"the iced tea survey" or "the cell phone survey". Because I know I have taken 2 different kinds of cell phone surveys.

I second the Phoenix surveys. They take forever and are usually on boring subjects. My DH did one on cars and when he got to 100% completed he clicked on the next button and the progress bar dropped back down to 30%. He then had to answer about twenty more pages of questions before he "really" completed the survey.

Was this the Gongos/Consumer Village one? I just took this one on Monday. I did just as you did. So when you say you got the "exceeded" message, that message shows up when you go to take another survey (as in, we're sorry ,you've exceeded your daily survey limit"). If you didn't get that message while doing that, and if their system would let you in to take another survey, better do another, b/c you probably won't get credit for the Gongos survey.

I don't know if this is a survey to avoid, or a survey to take MORE time than to read each word it asks, but I did one with the url of deploy.zintelligence, or something like that, and it got lots of info about cereals, grocery shopping, where I shop, and such, and THEN asked for all the info we put in from the get-go (race, age, etc), and then:

Thank you for your participation in a ZoomPanel survey, however, at this time, we are looking for survey respondents who fit a different profile.

Please do not be discouraged, as there will be future studies to which you will be invited to participate.

Please go to Spin To Win below for your opportunity to participate in the ZoomPanel Spin To Win Instant Win game for a chance to instantly win prizes including gift cards and merchandise.

And of course it just took me to SR instead of zoompanel...

So I don't know if this is an *avoid at all costs*, so if others get this one, please add to the negative experiences on it if you had one, or let me know it was a one-time thing, and I'll edit this out. :p

After a number of tries I just got the strangest survey. It asked my opinion on names for a new scaled down grocery type store. After a few questions it asked which name I liked best and why then it suddenly went to the SR page and said I had completed the survey. I tried to do another but it said I exceeded my limit so I guess it will credit. The survey took less than 5 minutes. I just did a long one on credit cards and made it through. After you have done so many of these things the format becomes so familiar that it doesn't take too long to answer a question. Especially that male/female question - hmmm, let me think about that for awhile. I understand why they want you to read each question carefully - but I am a fast reader anyway so these timed ones are a killer.

After the trouble we've all been having qualifying lately, I was surprised to get a survey on the 2nd try. It was about various food products- a little long, but not too bad. So far, I've managed to get 22/22 for this month!:cooldance: I think the most I've ever gotten before is 8 in a month so I'm excited!

Good luck with surveys everyone!!

I was able to fully complete my first survey yesterday!!
I took the advise someone had offered a while back & worked on something else in between each question!
