Anyone else encountering technical difficulties with MV today? Both this morning and tonight, every time I get into a survey I end up with an error screen that starts with:

HTTP Status 500

and then there are no more surveys.:confused:

i have been getting that same error message for most of this week on mv. whenever i have gotten it, i have refreshed the page and then it asks a bunch more questions and have eventually managed to get a survey but it has been taking a bit longer to get one because of those error messages. i am so sorry that u r having problems with mv but i promise it will get better. just take a deep breath, walk away from your computer for a little while and then try again later. that usually works for me. Thanks for the reply. I completed DS + SM before 8AM on Thursday and since then it's been practically impossible to even get into anything to try and qualify. If it weren't for the contest and so many people posting that they are getting DS and SM I would have just figured that GF had no surveys. Maybe things will pick up next week or next month.

I had that screen one day earlier this week. It finally let me in in the evening, but I can't remember what time. It was on the late side though, maybe after 9?

Keep in mind too that both Give us your Two Cents and the daily Greenfield survey are both run by Greenfield. If you are the only one in your household doing surveys, you're basically taking two from the same pool each day. Perfectly ok, but if surveys are scarce it's something to keep in mind. I personally rarely do an SM survey because I would rather have the chance at the DS since it's worth more. The same goes for SSI and SSI 2. Usually I only attempt the second one of those two surveys if there are a LOT in the system or if there's a contest. It may mean that I don't get quite as many surveys, but it works for me.

My mother is your age and has noticed the same trend with her surveys the past few days. On the other hand, there are times when she has better days than I do! I am in my early forties with young children and don't seem to be having much trouble right now....

Funny you should post that question. I think that often. I have a 30 minute limit. I know I may have spent more time than that on some. However, if they tell me upfront I am committing to 45 or 60 minutes, I "escape" from the survey. I sometimes go back and get one in my 30 minute or less range. If not, I don't let it bother me. :sunshine:

Did you remember to clear cookies..I think this is the main reason for not crediting. I almost did it this morning, I completed a SM survey and then realized that I had forgotten to clear the cookies from yesterday, don't know why I forgot because this is the first thing I do when I log on...anyway it did credit only because I had cleared cookies last evening before doing some shopping. Phew!

If you don't get credit by the second hour, I would try for another one but clear cookies first.

Well all the surveys except for the DS are tracked by cookies and you need to clear them or the survey won't credit, also you need to clear between doing the SSI/SSI2 ones.....the DS is tracked by user ID so no need to clear cookies for that one. Try to get in the habit of clearing cookies first thing in the morning and I'll bet you will start seeing most, if not all of your surveys credit.

I got the blue for a little while, then it went back to yellow. I may have a suggestion to help you get SH to credit. Before you take the survey try doing the C Cleaner on your computer. This is a much more in depth deletion of anything hanging around on your computer than just clearing the cookies. It only takes a few minutes. My husband gave me the suggestion when I was having a slump with surveys and crediting (specifically SH and SSI). I told him I was clearing the cookies and I did not know I why I was having the problem. He told me just do C Cleaner. I do C Cleaner several times a day! It has worked like a dream (knock on wood). I had SSI trouble today too. First off I was offered a survey, then had flags before ever getting there. Then all day I was given qualifying questions, then it said no surveys available. Finally right before dinner I got the travel survey everyone enjoyed the other day( which I had gotten kicked out of), I completed it and got the stars, but no credit. I just did another survey with them which took me awhile, sure hope it credits.

On the SSI surveys, I got the flag a few times the past few days. I closed it out, cleared cookies and tried again and successfully completed a survey. I clear cookies before taking the first SSI survey and make sure to NOT clear cookies again until after it credits. Once it credits, I repeat for the second SSI survey. I haven't had any trouble getting credits for both the last 3 days doing it this way. HTH

The same thing happened to my DH. He took an SSI(2) survey sometime after 7:00 p.m. and it didn't credit. After it didn't credit on the second hour, I asked him to try again because this is the only survey left that I need for a touchdown today. He did manage to get a survey and completed it a few minutes ago. We're hoping it credits at the top of the hour.

I completed 2 SSI surveys too...one around 6pm and another just before 11pm....no credit for either of them. Hopefully, they figure out the problem pretty soon. I was getting pretty good at getting both the SSI and SSI(2) when I had the time. I was excited just to qualify for an SSI today so it really bums me that I didn't get credit.

Yes, please post if you are successful with SSI. I won't be doing any surveys until after work but would like to know when the issue with SSI is fixed before I attempt any.

It actually usually is for complaints. :) But you can also use it in this case if it's clear that I am missing something really important.

Over the last 10 days or so quite a few of us have experienced "no new surveys" from GF for almost the entire day. Never had the not retaining demos issue until today.

I got this yesterday morning, but I thought that it might be phishing. Didn't think too much about it until I took both a DS(which I won't know if it credits until Monday) and I SM-the SM never credited even though I didn't do anything different than always on my end. Got the congrats page on both of them.

Is this normal? I can understand the re-contact, but not the downloading? I do not want to risk my computer with unknown software.

If you are having problems getting surveys to credit across the board, you probably need to look at your computer settings. For the SSI, my first question would be did you clear cookies between the SSI you most recently took and yesterday's? You MUST clear cookies between your surveys each day for them to credit, with the exception of the DS from Greenfield. That one tracks by user ID. YOu also need to clear cookies between taking SSI and SSI 2.

My next question is if you are clearing cookies, how frequently are you doing so? Are you possibly clearing before one has a chance to credit? Sometimes it takes a few hours for them to come through.

If you took the DS Friday, relax. It should credit Monday, unless Monday is a holiday and then it credits next business day.

Interesting....I usually have to try between 5-10 times everyday to get a DS. I stop trying at 10!!! I want to remind everyone that Jan and on into Feb are historically very hard times to get surveys. I have been doing this awhile!! The surveys will start picking up towards the end of Feb and by March will be going pretty good. There is no need to quit, just view it as seasonal employment!!

I know someone has posted this before, but it bears repeating: January is typically a slow month for surveys. You wouldn't know this if you have only been around for a few months. It is a weekend at the end of January - there are not a lot of surveys to be had. I've tried several times today and only gotten a DS and a MV, but I have been around long enough to know that it is temporary.

That being said, SR should not be a source of frustration. If a temporary survey drought causes you to want to move on, it is probably time for a break. I know someone has posted this before, but it bears repeating: January is typically a slow month for surveys. You wouldn't know this if you have only been around for a few months. It is a weekend at the end of January - there are not a lot of surveys to be had. I've tried several times today and only gotten a DS and a MV, but I have been around long enough to know that it is temporary.

That being said, SR should not be a source of frustration. If a temporary survey drought causes you to want to move on, it is probably time for a break. I'd rather find out right away that I don't qualify than to waste 20-40 minutes and have the survey not credit, show me 'we are having technical issues' pages, flag pages, or not route back to SR properly. From the looks of this thread I'm clearly not the only member feeling this way. I don't have time to play all the games and chit chat in forums all day. I just like to complete a few surveys each day with the opportunity to earn some extra cash. I have friends that belong to another survey site and they are not having any of these issues. I haven't switched sites yet because I wanted to give this one a chance first and didn't want to jeopardize surveys be being a member of two sites.

I love how you put that! That is exactly how I feel. It has been a pleasant addition to my routine. My husband actually teases me (in a loving way) about doing the surveys. Although I consider being a stay-at-home mom at blessing, it is nice to have some me time. What I did was take a break for awhile because I was starting to get frustrated, but I never thought about moving on to another site. I really really like not only this site, but the folks in this forum too.

One of things that I really like is that everyone shares their success. Whether it's an offer that is crediting well or telling someone which new item they just bought is awesome, everyone helps everyone else out!

So, I'm just hang in there for the surveys and hope they pick up again soon.

I just wanted to pop in here and say "Hello", again. I started visiting again after a long, make that a very long, absence.

I had quit doing reward programs after our last WDW trip, which was a very long time ago. :(

I realized recently that that was just plain silly! I could have just saved up the earnings or cashed out for Christmas gifts.

On the topic of surverys, I've had some ups and downs with the surveys but overall it's been thumbs up! :clap: There've been some with fun topics too!!

I do have a question, do you find the survey options are better at a particular time of day or is that just irrelevant? There've been a few times I haven't been able to get to them until after 11PM. I just went back through my history and it looks like I was fairly active in 2006 and then some in 2007. After that, 2008 and 2009, I wasn't nearly as active. It has been a long time!

I've been using the same email for all my surveys. I was concerned I might forget which one I used where and then get myself in trouble. :blush:

Sometimes when a survey is taken very close to the hour, then I wait for the second hour to see but this survey was taken within plenty of time to credit and no reason for why it didn't? Well, I'm glad it came through!

You can change it but only change it once. Don't go back and forth. Once you assign your DH to take a survey - always use his info for that survey especially Greenfield Surveys which includes your2cents. Don't worry about asking too many questions - we were all newbies at one time! And when I joined we didn't have the forum!!!

Everything you stated sounds correct - I'm not sure about SSI and SSi(2) regarding if you don't get SSI, can your DH try for SSI (2). I think it might credit as an SSI but I'm not sure that you need to worry too much about that!

i always use CCleaner before turning my computer off at night and when i restart it in the morning, just to make sure everything is cleaned out, and i very rarely ever have an issue with a survey not crediting. :sunshine2:

I just take the flag page to mean there's nothing available right now or that particular survey is closed. That's just me.

I think her question was related to her previous ones that were mostly ignored in the midst of all the complaining. She wants to assign some surveys to her husband. She was going to do SSI and he was going to do SSI 2. My take on it was that she wasn't sure if splitting the surveys between the two of them was a potential problem or not.

Is anyone else having the worst luck with the DS? That has always been my "go to" survey because I could get one almost every day with minimal exception. Now, I can't get them at all. I haven't been able to get one in the last 6 days. I guess it wouldn't bug me too much, but I haven't been able to get any of the others either so I'm a little frustrated.

I am so close to my goal...only $0.12 away!! So even 1 SH would immediately push me over, but it just keeps eluding me:computer:. I have until the end of February to cash out for our spring break vacation so it is really "crunch time". This was not a good time to go into a "survey rut".

Kristen, I've had trouble getting a DS also, but since I don't work, I try all throughout the day and usually squeeze in one. I have not had both a DS and the super member 2 cents in awhile. Yesterday I must have tried 6 or 7 surveys before the one I got. It was very frustrating. Hopefully they'll pick up for you! You are so close to your goal! I agree with JTowner, I think I have been finally getting one in the evening after dinner. Today I got one early though.

I've tried the DS all throughout the day, from 7:30am after DD7 gets on the bus, right up until midnight, and I just can't get one. Most of the time, I can at least get into the qualifying info, but lately, I've been going straight to the "sorry, no surveys available" page.

At least today has been a little better with the rest of the surveys. I was able to get the SH, MV, SSI and AMP so far. I'll be continuing to try for the DS, SM and SSI(2) later.

ETA: YIPPPEEEEEE!! I finally got a DS!! Woo-Hoo!!! AND I got an SSI(2)....now, only the Y2C stands in my way of a TOUCHDOWN!!

Might be a problem with just that one survey! I guess I should consider myself lucky since my shampoo isn't listed, so they don't want to talk to me in the first place! I have gotten SH the past two days and it's creditted, if that helps.

That's what I'm telling them, that I use a shampoo brand that isn't listed, then it just takes me to a yellow page that says surveys aren't available and doesn't route back to SR like it usually does if there aren't any surveys avail... I'm glad you're getting your SH's though, just hoping they take this particular survey out of the rotation soon b/c it seems like there's a glitch with it!

Well I just got a different one too, asking me a question that I must have given the wrong answer to...immediately got the boot. I'll keep trying, happy that I'm not getting that shampoo survey anymore. :D

I had that same AMP, that's why I love this thread. I check it everytime I start taking surveys just to see if there have been any problems. Then if I have problems, I check again. My survey didn't credit either. I am afraid to clear cookies to try again. My SSi(2) took two hours to credit and I had almost cleared to try again. I finsihed the AMP at 2:30 so I might just wait one more time until 5, but I doubt it will credit now that others are reporting the same thing. Yes, it was of a personal topic...

I got the infamous SH shampoo survey this morning. It had a list of what I would call "high end" shampoos (for lack of a better word. There were actually 2 on the list that I use. I checked both of them. Believe it or not, the survey was about one of the shampoos/conditioners/hair products I use. I can see it can be a needle in the hair stack for some and quite frustrating. That is what I am finding out about the surveys. There really is something for everyone!:sunshine:

Re: GF: I've never had that happen on a GF daily survey. I have had it happen on a M02(also Greenfield). Several times. For me, I found that I was rushing thru surveys in order to get them done. What seemed to work for me was slowing down, and takng my time-not click, click, click-if that makes sense. If I find myself rushing thru, I'll get up, throw a load of laundry in or something, just so the survey doesn't flag me as "not giving thoughtful answers" or whatever. Hope that helps.

Yes, it does happen every once in a while. Either there was something somewhere in there where you didn't qualify or they have it flagged for a quality control issue.

i think i just took the longest mv ever. it said it was suppose to be 45 minutes long on automobiles but it took a little over an hour to finish the whole thing. it was interesting enough although it was kind of long. on the bright side, it did credit so that makes it all worthwhile.:party:

Disney Judi-had the same question last week. Did you get a SSi yesterday-and either try or get a SSi2 yesterday? And have you cleared cookies? The way-Marcy-I think-explained it to me, is that SSi will credit the last survey you tried-whether or not you actually got one. In any case, click back in this thread, a page or so, and you'll see her answer and how to fix it.

The demo screen included an extra box that said something about "I would like to do Toluna surveys". didn't check that off, click start and it just sits there,does not load. got out, cleared, tried again, that new box is gone this time but when I click "start survey" nothing happens.

I had GF pop up in a new tab yesterday for me. I thought it was a little different, but it completed and creditted like normal, so no big deal. I do have my IE settings set to open link in new tab rather than new window though so it's less annoying.

Also was able to get and complete a GF this morning with that box checked. Again, I use IE exclusively for SR. I'm not sure if that will help solve any problems, but it might not hurt to try.

Just a heads up....SSI just had a different look too. I did get and complete a survey that should credit at 1. The new look is after the page with your DOB, there are a bunch of demographic questions. Again, not a big deal...if this helps them weed out some of the surveys I don't qualify for, I'm all for it.

I am having the worst luck, ever since using DH's PC (spilled a beer on my macbook and haven't had it fixed (the airport card seems to have been damaged) or replaced yet). 3 hotels dot com stays haven't credited, a SM survey didn't credit, SSI from yesterday didn't credit, and today (not related but just in my run of bad luck) I did ALL of a survey (when you've been doing it for awhile, you know when you have actually DONE the survey vs being booted for answering something "wrong", ya know), and at the end it said I didn't qualify. Horrible luck!

Are you talking about the blue(turquoise) demographics page-instead of the regular tan/yellowish one? I got that page today-first time since well before Christmas.

Or the greenish one that asks for more demographics-and sometimes has weird questions like "have you purchased a Vulcan teleporter" or something of that nature. If it's that greenish page, I have never gotten a survey with that page.

here's something that does not happen to me too often. tried doing a ds earlier and was sent to 2 closed surveys and now there are no options or new surveys available for me. oh well, you win some you lose some. on the bright side i was able to get an ssi and a long amp so far this morning (i get up early to do my surveys) so that makes me happy. maybe gf will add some new surveys as the day goes on and i can try again. if not, that's okay too. good luck everyone in getting all your surveys today.:sunshine:

I have a question about something that's been happening the last several days. Going thru GF, I've seen a routing page titled "surveyswitch" then it re-directs me to pages that look similar to AMP & SSi. Sometimes I'll get one that credits back to the "regular" GF page; sometimes I get(like today) "sorry but we don't have....".

But then my question is this: do I attempt to complete AMP, SSi and MV on those days? Use CCleaner prior? I usually only use CCleaner in the morning(or on that rare occasion I'm trying to get SSi2-I'll clean before that).

I'm asking because I've gotten error messages/flag page it says-on both AMP and in particular SSi. And a SSi that didn't credit yesterday.

it did not even try to find me a survey and it did not re-route back to sr. has anyone else ever gotten this message or am i all alone here?:confused:

I often get that message when there are no SH surveys for me. Just keep checking back. Eventually one will pop up that you qualify for!

I take it GF no longer reimburses (or whatever word you want to use for it) for surveys with technical errors? I just took one that thanked me for completing and then told me I didn't qualify......it's hard for me to qualify for many surveys these days (and takes more time than I seem to have patience for right now, also :p) and it's a bit annoying to have this happen. When GF would give credit for things like that in the past, it helped alleviate the annoyance of lost time! Oh well.......(sorry, I hardly post much these days and then I show up griping when I do. :rolleyes: )

same old story...no DS available, and i got booted out of all of the SH surveys, now there's nothing there either.
