How do you know if you're banned? Both my husband and I have been taking surveys, but have not been using different emails, just 2. When my son is in town, he has taken a couple for me.

have you been able to take a survey in the last couple of days or have you gotten a message that says you don't qualify for any surveys? if you are able to take surveys then you are not banned but if not you are. does that make any sense?:sunshine:

I haven't been able to take one since last Friday which isn't unusual. My husband hasn't been able to take one since then either which is very unusual. He takes them at a different site.

It doesn't always take you back, but most of the time. If you can't do another one, it states exceeded your daily limit, theres a good chance that you will get credit.

If this is the one that I'm thinking of, and I'm fairly certain it is, I did this one a while back and unfortunately it didn't credit for me. Hopefully you will have better luck with it!

Looking forward to the day we can all do daily surveys again.

I have a question after looking at the new guidelines on the Daily Survey page. It says one survey every 24 hours. Will they be working like OTX and give an error message if we try before a full 24 hours is up for will they still be once each calendar day.

Thanks for the clarification. I think we'll all be walking on eggshells when we do these surveys and I'd rather be safe than sorry and ask questions.

I just click, and the website (and computer) sit there like nothing is wrong. Just a dead click.

I'm surely not a techo-geek, but I have had that problem if I'm not using Internet Explorer. Perhaps you are using a browser that will not allow you to get in. Hopefully, one of the Mods will chime in to help better than I can.

I sent a trouble ticket in this a.m., and Cindy thought I should check out the forums to see what was going on w/Greenfield, but I don't have time to wade thru dozens of threads to see if I've found the right one....there are just too many.

It has always worked for me in the past, and I just got a new HP computer a few weeks ago. Ever since then, I haven't been able to get the surveys.

Everything else works fine and my other rewards sites work fine too, so I don't think it's the new PC that is causing problems.

Also, I haven't done any surveys since December, so I don't think I'm getting banned like people are talking about.

I sent the trouble ticket in because I thought it was a SR tech/website problem, and it seemed to be going on FOREVER.

I haven't downloaded Firefox to this PC yet, but maybe I will and then re-try it.

I just want to make sure I understand correctly. You can only do one Greenfield Survey per 24 hours no matter where you do it, correct? So if you are a member of another site, you need to do the survey here or there, not allowed to do both.

For the Greenfield survey, the rules say one every 24 hours. Does this mean you have to wait 24 hours to do another one? Can you do one evey day no matter the time? I'm confused. :confused: When I first started doing the surveys, they were on the 24 hour timer. Then it changed to daily. So what are we doing now? I seemed to have missed this bit of info. Thanks!

I am assuming the rules are the same as they have been for a while - 1 survey per day. I think they use 24 hours to be descriptive.

Just a heads up....I just took a daily survey on office supplies, towards the end I rec'd an error page "Sorry, the shop is closed for maintenance"...something along that text anyway.

I refreshed the page and was brought back to the previous page and had to re-input my answers, then it completed successfully at the SR page.

So just in case anyone gets the error, try refresh first :)

Ever since the GF ban has been lifted I have had such good luck with surveys. I have gotten in on the first try each day for the last 4 days and have gotten interesting and not too long or tedious surveys. I hope my luck holds out for a while!

My luck ran out today - I was almost done with one on carbonated beverage and suddenly it froze, and said something about content length not set to zero, null - whatever that all means. I haven't been able to get into either the Daily Survey or the SM survey all evening. I get to the preferences check-off page and when I hit submit I get taken to a page that states there are technical difficulties and try back later. This is happening on both surveys so I guess the problem is on GF's end.

I did a very LONG survey today (over an hour) on a new movie due out this summer. It had me watch a preview of the movie twice and answer specific questions about what I watched. I normally back out of surveys that involve video because it takes forever to download on my dial up connection but I had already been kicked out of 5 other surveys so I went ahead with this one. When I finally got to the end it did not take me back to the SR page. I thought I was gonna cry! I did however get the exceeded limit message so I'm sure it's ok and will credit. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up.

Hey, my fingers AND toes are crossed for you.:sunshine: I have had exactly the same problem today. However, I have always found weekends to be the hardest to get a survey. I don't think they load new ones on the weekends, so perhaps tomorrow, if they load some new ones, we'll all have better luck.

I took my Friday survey at night after work, and on saturday morning, i was told that I exceeded the daily survey. I was able to take one about 3 pm. then today, I got it in around 1 pm. I think it may be on something like a 20 hour time frame. I am going to try tomorrow am and see if it has been long enough to get it in before I go to work.

I just tested the survey page and was directed to a survey just fine. It was slow, and I didn't qualify. However, I was offered a survey and redirected correctly when I didn't qualify. I will email SunshineGuy and let him know as I think he will be back in town before Tricia and Cindy. I assume that they are all already aware of any issue we might be having technically as they have all been checking in periodically, but it won't hurt to alert them anyway!

I swear I did a survey earlier this afternoon...but wasn't 100% positive, so I just clicked on it again, expecting to be told that I did one today...but it let me do another one?!??! Let me explain that I work night shift...worked 12 hours the last 4 nights in a row...so I am VERY tired. Then to add to it, my kids had a 2 hour delay today, so I slept for one hour, then got up to get them to school....slept for another 2 hours...then got my son off the kindergarten bus,etc. So I am just a "little" confused about what really was today, what may have been yesterday, etc! :confused: But I really swear that I did two today... (or I am going crazy....) I will be curious to see what happens to my account.

I finally got my second survey for Feb yesterday, I was excited! And it even credited today.

So if you guys get a never-ending survey about cold and flu products, never fear, it will end one day.

I especially love getting those because I'm more into alternative-medicine, so I have a differing answer than many other Americans would, and I love giving my voice to their surveys!

Yesterday was odd. I got a survey that asked me a few questions to see if I qualified for some online community forum. I didn't, and got redirected to a different page. I checked the GF page again, and had no options, so just let it be. I wasn't sure I would get credit, but I did! So I feel like I got paid really for not qualifying for something - whatever, guess I'll take it.

this came through at 930am I know bc I was in the middle of doing my DS for today when 3/4 of the way through (good 20 mins) for no reason it booted me out. When I tried to get back in they were having "technical difficulty". I was steaming mad bc it was a long one and it was still letting me back in. I couldn't do a SM one either off and on until 11 am they were having problems. So i gave up and just finished my DS a little bit ago.

My guess is that they could have had some technical difficulty when they were uploading the credits to Tricia and only some went through? Something for SR to look into I guess. But it looks like some did get through..... :confused:

I remember him complaining about how long it was and that he wouldn't finish it in time for "Lost". He got the congrats screen and he just tried to do another survey and got the exceeded message.

Quick question: Just did the daily survey...it was on home mortgages; after I selected the name of my mort. company, I got a screen that said, "Congratulations! Click here to receive your reward."

So, I clicked....

Then, I got the dreaded, "Unfortunately....there are no surveys..." screen.

Has this happened to anyone? Will I get credit for doing that survey or not?

If you got the Exceeded then there's hope you'll get credit.

Nope, I didn't get the exceeded message. I kept trying and trying until I just gave up because I was SICK of trying.

I couldn't get qualified for any survey today!!!!

Just wondering whether there was any answer as to why so many of us did not receive credit for the 2/28 survey? It was the 2nd time in 10 days that I had a daily survey that did not credit. Previous to this I have taken hundreds of daily surveys and have never not gotten credit for one where I received the Congratulations page. Thanks for any info. Love that 80 cents:sunshine2:

It looks like for some reason, the first 80 of these credited that day and then stopped. So there was a list of 49 that I think did NOT credit and I just pushed them through. Now I'm going to grab a little more cough medicine and then work on bonuses. :)

Actually, it just might, because something like this happened to me last week, and I got credit the next day. I was afraid to try again, and anyway, when I checked, was given no options, so I thought it might credit despite not getting accepted by the focus group. I also wasn't taken back to the SR page. And it did credit! So hopefully your DH's will do the same.

Watch out...there is an avocado survey, which I was enjoying by the way, about half way through it would not load any more pages. I did click on the help thing before it stalled out and sent it off to greenfield. I will be curious if anyone else has problems! It could just be me.

There is an absolutely ridiculous survey on coolers that asks a ton of questions you couldn't possibly remember (when did you purchase all of the coolers you have owned over the last 10 years, where did you buy them, what else did you buy then, were they on special)... OMG! After about half an hour of answering the stupid questions, I got kicked out and told I didn't qualify. HUH??? And of course now there are no more surveys for which I do qualify. I just did that survey and rushed over here to warn people about it. At first I just thought I was stupid and I couldn't figure out what they were asking me most of the time. At least 15 different times it stopped me saying I had missed an answer or answered incorrectly. I did finally finish it and got the congrats page. I feel bad though that some of my answers are not completely accurate. A number of our coolers were gifts and I did not know the info on them like price, where and why purchased, etc. They don't take that into account and make you choose an answer. Oh well, at least it's done and I can move on!

I guess I got lucky with this one. I didn't read the forums first so took it and it worked fine for me. Took only about 20 mins. and while I thought it was really dumb, it worked. Sorry to hear about the other experiences people had.

I just spent 15 minutes answering questions about video games and consoles. It came to a question and it asked if I was going to purchase a game system. I was honest and answered no. We already have 2 of the newest ones. It kicked me off. Usually I don't care, but when it asked me a ton of questions about the consoles and games and if I play on-line, and then it askes again 5 different ways. I feel they have gotten a lot of answers and to throw you off with one little question. I'm done for today with Daily and OTX. Didn't qualify for either one.

I was wondering if I will get credit for a survey I took last night. It was a long one! I went through the daily survey link, got connected to Greenfield who connected me to a partner site. After completing the survey, it thanked me for successfully completing but it went to the partner site home page and when I closed that SR was not behind there on a different screen like usual.

The last couple days the 2nd batch has been later than the 12:30 time. I am not sure when as I am usually gone, I check at 12:30 and then I have to take my DD to school, when I get home around 1:30 (EST) It is there. Hope that helps.

But SunshineGuy told me at lunch today NOT to push it through so he could figure out why the automatic cronjob isn't working.

So they are there (and we did get lots of credits for yesterday), but I'm giving SG a chance to look at our script first to make it start going on its own again. I'm sure its just a little tweak he needs to make somewhere.

So today I got an opinion panel survey for moms; I was accepted into the panel but not taken to any congrat page. Nor did I get an exceeded daily limit page when I checked back; instead, I got more options for a survey. So - I wonder, can I safely interpret this as meaning I will not be credited for this survey and can do another? I'm almost afraid to try, lest I end up with 2 credits and in trouble with GF! But it looks like it would be OK to try another, since I am given the options... I don't know.

Only option was 'hearing loss' which I do not have - selective maybe, but loss, no!! So I got that auto one, too, same thing as everyone else. But then I was able to get another one about ice tea, which was not too bad, even though it insisted I tell all about why/when I drank these different teas after I answered earlier questions about it with no, I don't drink that kind! Don't forget that sometimes when you do not get routed back to SR and can still take another survey, your credit gets imported into the system 2 or 3 weeks later. So it can actually be a good thing because all of a sudden one day you may end up with 2 survey credits.

Right. Sometimes when you don't get returned, it's because it is a survey hosted by a different company. That explains why a handful of people all of a sudden got a "surprise" credit the other day. :sunshine:

Greenfield hosts certain surveys on their system. If you complete one, they mark down your email address that you cannot get another survey for the next 24 hours. But if Greenfield sends you to another site to take the survey, they will not know that you completed that survey automatically. They will not know until they hear back from that company maybe in a week or two weeks. So Greenfield will let you take another survey. But then your extra will still appear at some point.

Does that make sense?

It could very well be that we don't end up getting credit on those for SM surveys because the way that we get the credit is if you are returned to that YourTwoCents or whatever final page.

I have been away and just took my first survey for March today. Of course I got the auto survey. I decided to stick with it. When I was finished with the entire survey, and after I entered my demographics, I hit next. The page attempted to load for 10 minutes without luck. After copying the URL, I timidly hit "refresh" and was lucky enough to get to the last page of the survey and the congrats screen. Perhaps it is working (sort of) now?

I was able to try another survey which ended up a Phoenix survey about buying cars!!! It was loading very slowly from page to page and about 1/2 way through I got a time expired message. I sent greenfield a message about both (I am sure they will get right on it!!) I am sick of surveys so I think I will stop now. Tomorrow might be better

That was the same survey I had. It also loaded slowly, but I never did get a time expired message. What a bummer for you.:(

I think you may be in the 24hour rut. I do mine at night and if I try for one during the day that is what I get, too! Just keep checking back!

It sounds like there just aren't any if your not getting any options. The exceeding message would put you on the 24 hr time slot, but I know when I took mine at 8am this morning I only had 2 options to choose from.

edited to add: I figured I'd try the link in the email and I did the follow up survey and it brought me back to SR and acts like I completed a survey for today (which i had just tried and gotten a none available message just before following the link in the email.) Daily Surveys are back on a 24 hour cycle, so yes, the fact that you took one at 10pm is probably the reason why you are seeing what you're seeing now.

I saw that many hours yesterday, and then later once there was no question that it had been 24 hours (I had forgotten to note what time my last survey was taken...and, ha ha, once I got one I forgot to note what time I did that, oops!) I started seeing options.

Daily Surveys are back on a 24 hour cycle, so yes, the fact that you took one at 10pm is probably the reason why you are seeing what you're seeing now.

I saw that many hours yesterday, and then later once there was no question that it had been 24 hours (I had forgotten to note what time my last survey was taken...and, ha ha, once I got one I forgot to note what time I did that, oops!) I started seeing options.

This is what I'm thinking too, I usually try to do a daily survey early in the morning and that is why I wasn't used to seeing just my email address there but yesterday there was nothing there for me all day long until about 10pm when one finally popped up for me. Maybe I'll skip today altogether and wait until the morning, I don't want to stay on a night time cycle anyway. thanks for the reply :)

I completed a very long survey on travel web sites. At the end, instead of going back to the SR page, it took me to another page that said my survey had been sucessfully completed. It also said that it would take 2-3 days to verify my answers (like maybe if they don't like what I said they won't pay?) and if I was doing the survey for a prize or payment, it would be awarded after verification.

I have already received credit for a survey I completed on Tuesday. Does anyone think I still have a chance of getting credit for Mondays?

an update on the auto survey

I took the follow up survey that was emailed and got credit for a survey done that day (I didn't qualify for a survey that day(or the day before) from the survey page ).

the original survey I had taken two days before and it never took me back to SR.

I got an email about a follow-up to the car survey yesterday & took it today after doing a regular daily survey. The follow-up one was clearly from Greenfield and it let me take it with no problem even though I had *just* finished another Greenfield survey. So I guess I just wait until tomorrow morning to see what credits. I hope I get credit for both as I'm really trying to hit Super Member after a slow quarter! Crossing fingers!

I did a SM survey today and normally it credits on the hour. Not today. I even went back and checked to make sure that it had said completed etc..and the message was that I had exceeded my daily surveys, so I know I completed it. I was wondering why no credit? Maybe because it is Friday?

A couple of days ago I didn't get credit for any offers, OTX or SM survey. I had to run anti virus and spy ware twice and shut the computer down and restart and that seemed to fix the problem. My software said it didn't find anything but obviously there was something blocking cookies that day for me. I'm getting credit with no problems now.

Since SM surveys are tracked by Cookies only and not IP addresses or user id's you might want to consider clearing them in between the regular and SM surveys or after you get credit each day. Otherwise you will have crediting issues. Its been mentioned multiple times in the SM section by Tricia that you need to do this. Not trying to argue with you but you need to clear your cookies out every now and then.

I never used to clear cookies between daily surveys and SM surveys and still got credit, but I will in the future. I do always clear cookies from one day to the next prior to a new OTX survey attempt. Even so, the past two days I have gotten OTX surveys without any credit. This was since I took that one lonely AMP survey.

Today, I took Catherine's advice and ran ccleaner. I was able to do an OTX and SM survey (I had done my daily survey yesterday evening, so I have to wait until later for that one) and got credit for both. I remember reading Catherine's hypothesis that AMP might have planted a "deep cookie" so clearing via IE might not solve the problem. Thanks, Catherine!

Do you remember what time the survey credit posted (not what time you took or ended). It seems to be 24 hours from the time it credits.

For the deep cookie thing, try running SpyBot, AdAware, etc type spyware programs.

Although, I ran those two, plus AVG antispy, and it found nothing at all, so not sure, but can't hurt to try.

the amp survey posted at 12 noon. i ran ccleaner and an adaware scan last night (i do an adaware scan every night) and i always clean out all my cookies after i receive the credit for an otx survey. i guess today is just not my day for my thought counts. thanks for helping. it is appreciated.:sunshine:

I finally qualify for a daily survey and after 45 minutes, it doesn't take me back to the SR congratulations page! :computer:

It was one of those ones where you have to download a toolbar and then perform certain tasks on a website and then offer your opinion on the website. I couldn't close out the page when it was done, it ate up a ton of virtual memory and I ended up having to reboot my computer.

All that and no credit!

So I read it, took my time, and then clicked, yes I agree, and hit the continue button. You go for a pretty decent amount of time, and then, it asks you to see if you can hear a short audio clip, but it looks just like a regular page.

I never heard any audio, so of course, it booted me out of the survey after all that time.

Just wondering if anyone else has gotten this survey and heard the audio clip because my computer's sound is working fine otherwise.

DH got this survey. He was able to hear the audio clip, but I will say the video clip they showed took FOREVER to buffer. I have cable modem and I'm not joking it was AT LEAST 10 minutes before the video was ready to play. It said it would take 1 minute. But it did eventually play and really other than the video taking so long it was pretty short on questions and easy to answer. We did get credit for it.

I took that cell phone one that didn't re-direct too. It just burns me up when that happens because they clearly got their info from me and I got nothing in return - grrr! I don't have time to take a survey for nothing because I still have a ways to go to keep my SM status after this quarter! :(
